Did I miss something? Cannot find ANY specifics on these deals.

Doug,

The lack of specifics on the 3 acquisitions is phenomenal. I previously noted that, when LU acquired Livingston, it posted a wealth of data about Livingston's financials with the SEC. This allowed for a fair assessment of how much the deal was worth (e.g., how many times sales did LU pay, how much in the way of sale would Livingston bring to the deal, would the deal be accretive or dilutive).

Livingston was privately held, just like AMZN's 3 acquisitions. However, we know nothing about the companies AMZN just acquired.

Incidentally, Level 2 this morning has been showing houses like Schwab and Dean Witter on the sell side at about 91 for some time. Perhaps short selling, but also perhaps Ma and Pa investor figure 90 territory is a good place to exit since AMZN keeps dipping into the 80s.

Being an accountant I am not sure how issuing stock options would affect revenue......When the option is excercised the company receives cash and issues additional shares, avoiding the P&L entirely. Unless you are trying to determine the dilutive affect of these options I believe, unless these are SARs, or something along those lines, they will have no impact on the revenue, or net income items, only eps calculations.

AMZN Stock Options

I am up to my neck in conflicting data on the number of stock options the company has
issued. Goal is to try to understand how many have been issued and at what price in
order to discount future revenue accordingly. Problem is that there are lots and lots of
grey areas in my research. Biggest one is how many options were issued to new
management teams of the three companies just acquired. Anyone have a guess? Did I miss
something? Cannot find ANY specifics on these deals.

Doug,

I am sorry I cannot help. My complaint has been a lack of information filed with the SEC. Specifically, your question.
