U.S Sanctions in a nut-shell.

Tom:

Thank you for that update on the performance of the Indian GDRs in London,I suppose that is to be expected considering the developments.

I wonder whether Clinton will cancel his scheduled visit to India in November??? He might as well as no U.S president has ever had the time to visit India in the last 20 years, many had plenty of time to go to China,oh well so much for strengthening relationship with a democratic country when one has plenty of Communist countries and Sheikdoms and dictators to visit.<VBG>

Here is a brief description of the U.S sanctions.<

The sanctions include an end to US assistance to India, a prohibition on the export of certain defence and technology material, an end to US credit and credit guarantees to India, and US opposition to lending by international financial institutions to India, the officials said. While US assistance is to be halted, there is an exception for food and humanitarian aid.
