Good point re US policy towards China vs. India.

Why do suppose this is the case? Is it related to the fact that almost all manufactured merchandise in the U.S. costing less than $10 is made in China?

The new Indian government doesn't yet understand inscrutable Occidentals as well as China does. A large cash contribution to Bill Clinton's favorite charity will go a long way toward improving US-Indian relations and receiving the same consideration as China.
