If anyone in the PTO is giving out that info they will be looking for work shortly. The patent process (with one minor exception) is confidential until the patent issues. (At least for US patents). If you find a source to say otherwise let me know . The closest reference I can find is the reference # which is given to a application after the application is filed however even that is confidential according to my source. One place you might try is the newsgroup Alt.inventors, as I am pursuing a patent rt now I would be very thankful to know what you find out. Best regards Rob
