It might be creditability... releasing a new version of SmartCode to handle a language that is already year 2000 compliant accomplishes ???

Why did he use this term? Shouldn't he "know" if there have been any changes?

Are there some potential "unknown" changes?

The wording is rather peculiar. I assign no significance beyond that.
