Wade, I think you are dead wrong about core business going to zero.

The fundamental thing you are missing is that the Y2K evaluations lead directly into their core business when embedded systems are in trouble. Put another way, if the black box won't work past 2000, then TAVA finds another black box to integrate into the factory floor system that will work. This is what their core business is all about.
