Jim: About the core business. You write

<<< Y2K evaluations lead directly into their core business .... >>>

It certainly leads to a valuable relationship with a client they might not otherwise have. It may lead to wonderful core business down the road. In the next 18 months, however, I think TAVA will be busy saving the embedded chip world from y2k.

<<< Put another way, if the black box won't work past
2000, then TAVA finds another black box to integrate into the factory floor system that will work.
This is what their core business is all about. >>>

When they replace that black box in the manner you have described, that is y2k work, and will be classified as such. BTW: Replacing black boxes that don't work isn't "what their core business is all about"; there's much more to it than that. Agree?

My main point is it wouldn't surprise me to see the "core" business dwindle in coming months. I do not find that alarming, as I explained earlier.
