Jim, I am interested to know for what reasons people would want to Compaq's LASTEST models of computers (forget about their old stock inventories) over Dell, HP, and Gateway's desktops and laptops. Obviously they don't now.

I don't care what CPU chips Compaq uses for their computers. What I care is that they have strong products that appeal to customers. Packard Bell shouldn't be their role model. My friend bought one cheap Packard Bell 2 years ago because it was the cheapest in the store but he regretted it now terribly.

Why Dell's computers are selling much better than Compaq's lately? Are they getting better reputations and better designs of computers?

Is Dell beating Compaq the way Compaq was beating IBM years ago?
