Will anything shake up the U.S. market? Indonesia's on the verge of overthrowing Suharto, and we'll soon be learning how many pairs of shoes his wife owns; the Indian subcontinent will probably be radioactive within the a few weeks; Japan is headed for bankruptcy (though they'll save a few billion in foreign aid to India and Pakistan); South Korea is headed for bankruptcy; the rest of Asia is also experiencing a depression... ...yet the U.S. market just keeps sailing happily along :-)
