VENK, DELL will be going alot lower than 10 over the next few months. COUNT ON IT. I honestly feel sorry for you people. You have fools rushing up to you just begging you to take advantage of them and steal their money, and your waiting for a better offer? Unbelievable....

HP s/h will feel the pain tomorrow. DELL will soon enough when the mkt gets a little look into DELL's future next week. I'm sorry, but thw world can't be going thru a financial criss and DELL trade at these multiples. I can't wait till CPQ gets its build to order bus up and running, it should be a fun ride back down. Can anyone say DELL in '98 = MU in '95 :) (ggg)

Venkie,

JP is an apocalyptic Englishman.....

Now, for the meat. The HWP story is very interesting.

go2net.newsalert.com

HWP is complaining about margins and pricing pressures in the PC business. Thus it appears that they paid a big price for their awe inspiring PC market growth rate this quarter. It is clear that their business model just does not compete that well against DELL.

I am not going to say this too often because I do not want them to catch on to this fact and do something about it.

Testy, Testy, testy.....

Did that HWP earnings miss by 12 cents, mostly atributable to their PC division bother you.

HWP Missed because PC's 20% of their business was unprofitable.
HWP missed because M&T, about 20% was weak in Asia.
Man, I wonder how a company that is 100% PC will do.

Oh yea, HWP's consumer PC's, where DELL is under exposed, Did fairly well.
HWP's Corprate Desktop, Where DELL is most heavily concentrated, was the weakest segment of their PC dividion.

Please
Venkie, Don't wory, DELL fears nothing.
So the stock will rise.

Jim
BTW I have been out for some time now.
