I have to say the name still sounds hacked, especially in possesive form. Having said that, it must be good because these guys were the same people who came up with Pentium, right? Or maybe the very last thing you want to do is draw comparisons to a virtual monopoly like Intel in terms of a product name. The 80486 was also a block-buster. Even the trite and condescending label infonet sounded better. If the name change wasn't important then why bother? If it was important then they ought to be concerned that they have one of the more stupid names in the business.
