(and let me correct the 28.5 to 27.5 - it is 29.5 to 28.5 - BUT if the above is correct then that means the Adams, Harkness and Hill reported 27.x was wrong for 1997! Amazing - what's a billion here, a billion there between friends...)

So not sure what is going on here. Though I suspect you are right - there may be a currency effect. Still it is interesting that the numbers are so wildly off...)
