"All those promises He would have made knowing they would go to
someone else and they would be cast"

Those promised did not go to someone else. Those promised went to the children of Israel who had the faith of Abraham. No Jew was ever saved in the Old Testament without having the faith of Abraham.
During the days of Elijah there were only 7000 Jews who had the faith of Abraham and still worshipped God. All the rest worshipped Baal and were not true Israelites although they were of the seed of Abraham but not the children of faith. The sons of the promise are the sons of faith.
During the days of Jesus and immediately afterwards, there were hundreds of thousands of Jews who accepted Jesus and the Messiah. They were the children of Abraham the remanant of true Israelites that Ezekiel called the good figs. The Jews who rejected Jesus were of the seed of Abraham, but they were not of the faith of Abraham---that's why they could not recognized Jesus--God when He appeared in human flesh. They were the bag figs who were cast out and destroyed at the coming of the Messiah. Jesus was the final dividing line between the children of faith and the children of the flesh.
John the Baptist said it well under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit: "9: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that
God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
10: And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not
forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
What Alphas and Omega and others are doing is trying to give the promises of God to Abraham to the children of the flesh rather than the children of the spirit who have the faith of Abraham." Matt. 3

The axe indeed has been put to the root.
