Like you I agree there are storm clouds approaching. Dark and evil. The lord can deliver us from the storm, or out of the storm, or the best would be to be delivered in the midst of the storm.

Many christians think they are going to be delivered out of the midst of the storm but this will require preparation in the form of prayer. So many Christian do not pray anymore, and as Paul says with all 'prayer and supplication and with thanksgiving'.

I thank the Lord for moving here on this thread. We are in infancy here and the Lord has already been so faithful in answering our supplications.

There have been some things that have happened in my private life that have come about without my even asking God. I had a heal spur that has been healed. Honestly, I was not actively seeking a healing but it seemed the Lord was telling me; you have been faithful over other peoples concerns so I will be faithful over yours. Another case came about because of an alcoholic employee that was causing me a lot of grief. Instead of firing him I made up my mind I was going to believe in him. I don't think he ever had anyone believe in him before. It took about six months of going behind him and redoing a lot of his work but as of right now he is a charm to work with-- off the booze-- went to church last week-- very few problems with his work.

So a lot of things can happen just being in God's presence; with little or no effort on our part. I mean just how much effort does it take to pray.

Think about it. Success in life is a lot of result out of a small effort. Failure is little result from a great effort. Some of the hardest working people I know have gotten little out of life, while many very successful people I know just sit back most of the time.

So for the average guy on the street who also happens to be a Christian they had better pray a lot. My personal experience with God stipulates that He does not like laziness and likes us to work hard. A little hard work never killed anyone. But he also gives the oxen that treads out the grain time off between plowing and treading and the oxen could eat all he wanted while he treaded.

But no matter if you do or do not work hard there is one area where all Christians will be exercised to the limit and I feel that is in your faith. Faith will grow when it is exercised and the Lord is going to give us a lot of exercise in that area. Do I hear an amen to that "sis"..In Christ.gregor
