Roy,

<MSL is one of the most impressive manufacturing houses I've seen>

I find your positive comments about MSL interesting. Last year Fred Williams dissed them on this board as being an also ran, not one of the preferred houses. Almost all of Fred's postings have been removed (at his request, he said) so I cannot post a link.

We haven't heard from Fred Williams for a long time (at least not by that name), and it did seem odd that he would post opinions and then request that they be removed a few months later.

I think I speak for all ANCR longs when I hope that Ancor's decision to chose MSL was not based solely on geography.

Thanks for adding to the discussion on this board.

Greg

Roy, several months ago, I had heard that MSL was closing its California facility, where Brocade Silkworms are assembled. Is this true or false? Also, a Brocade employee at Interop told someone I know that their IPO would not be until next year ( F '99 ). What have you heard re:IPO timing?

Information needed on MSL

Assuming I am not alone, would one of the "longer longs" tell us lurkers about MSL: who are they? are they public? do they do custom work for our competitors? does information and expertise about products leak out of MSL to our competitors by way of conversation and/or personnel moves?

I'll hang up and listen!
