Thanks Michael. Several of your points may be valid. However, discounting does impact the bottom line, and its pretty easy to figure out. I doubt anyone could seriously claim otherwise. In the Dow Jones Online News article published 5/13 at 21:57: "In a conference call with analysts, H-P officials said the problems were largely limited to PCs. The company officials said that results of its printer operations, for example, were solid." The article is of course, longer, but that's the gist of it. Regards.
