Let me tell you why companies we have talked to went NT. A. Bill Gates is the richest guy in the country and CEO/CFO's admire that. B. The "New IS kids" have been brought up on MSFT and know nothing else. They just bash Novell out of ignorance, plus Microsoft products can be bought and installed by anyone. C. Decision makers have MSFT plastered all over their desktops, making their uninformed decision an easy one. Their brilliant analysis ...Lets keep the whole network the same, because everyone knows, MSFT desktop products work better with MSFT server products. What a crock, (and excellent mktg by MSFT.) D. Novells stock sucks, therefore their product must suck. Best quote I ever heard: "You mean I dont have to buy an actual user license pack like Novell, and I am on the honor system? I'll get back to you with the next PO to buy the licenses".
