I have to say that anyone who takes future earnings of a biotech that has yet to get a drug approved as gospel is smoking some funny dope.
I can't believe that certain people are so fixated on lgnds future earnings. I have posted several time about how these numbers put out by anal ysts are a guess. It amazes me as to how idiotic things are getting on this thread.

Oh btw, go lgnd. and no i'm not the guy on yahoo.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the well thought out post.A couple of observations:

1.IMHO Henry never validated the accuracy of the H&Q numbers, he just quoted that this was indeed their estimate. And, I think it was indeed their estimate, and few of us, including Henry, thought this was the most accurate est.

2.Toxicity should be a concern for anyone hoping to bring a drug to market. Safety AND efficacy are of course cornerstones to a profitable product. Every drug has side effects, but the numbers you posted did alarm me also.

3.For we, the stock holders, further dilution dilutes our future earnings. I too consider this a big issue.

4. You didn't have a 4., but the pipeline and management of this company are going to make us all happy in the end in spite of all our valid concerns!!

Good Luck,
Greg
