I think the terms are convert at 7-9 dollars so only about 1 million shares but with the cash they could build equip with a sales potential of 50-60 million and be self sustaining after that, also see yahoo post 18751 for a real eye opener!

<< I'd like to see the terms of the deal before deciding whether it is good or bad news. It's easy to make money with a floorless convertible regardless of a company's prospects. >>

Are you going to stick by what you said?

"If Osicom issues another convertible I will DEFINITELY sell most if not all of my shares in this company and then reasses the damage once the bloodletting is over." --- Grant Cain - Mar 6, 1998

<< Either way, Osicom must definitely think this is positive news judging by the news release >>

Of course they want it to appear positive! That's what hyping and promoting a stock is all about! I can't believe you are compromising your standards once again for this company. I am disappointed in you, I thought you were fed up with baseless dilution.

<< It is nice to know that a top rate company is at least dealing with Osicom stock though! >>

MEANS NOTHING I don't know why people are making such a big deal about this. CSFB is only dealing with Osicom because they are going to profit from this deal. Cash will get you all sorts of "top rate" backers. Do you know how many "top rate" companies were involved with Bre-X? How about Cendant? Mercury Fiance? Centennial Technologies?

You should be focusing on the fact that in the last week or so several million shares (or common equivalents) will be registered and will subsequently dilute your equity over the course of the year. Who cares about CS First Boston? They are so brilliant that they upgraded HWP and put them on their focus list after it had run-up 20 points. The next day HWP warned.

I already provided you an example on this thread of when Diana Corp (DNA==>CYOE) retained the services of Hambrecht and Quist.

Here are the same kind of comments I hear on this thread from people that were attached to DNA (now CYOE). From the DNA thread:

"Do you think H&Q and the Putnam Fund would be involved with and investing heavily in (respectively) something (to make a joke about the next post here) 'fishy'."
Message 201999

Six months later DNA was halted and subsequently booted off the NYSE.

Look at this link. It's an article talking about DNA. Notice the complex fianacial transactions the company engaged in which sound similar to what Osicom does
Message 857604

"The move also is typical of many in the long stream of complex transactions that make up Diana's history. Rather than stick to one kind of knitting, Diana's top executives cross-stitched, needle-pointed and seamed together a complex weave of financial maneuvers. None were ever easy to understand."

What did the credibility of H&Q and Putnam do for DNA? Nada. What will the "credibility" of CSFB do for Osicom?

You guessed it. NADA
