<<I wonder what if DELL starts using some K6, what will DragonBoy say? >> If Dell ever do, that would be a good short candidate. He would be crazy enough to do so. Dell better of using his engineering resources for the high end servers. He would hire more assemblers to wrap more boxes that's what he would do rather than look at AMD chips.
Very soon Dell will kick a lot more butts in server market, he let the fools waste time and energy in the low end market. Not that Dell won't enter the sub 1000 PC. My guess with the right time and tool he will. Hmmmm Mendocino? Let's wait and watch.

To any sizable OEM who wants to build computer on order (BTO), they need a reliable source for CPUs. That is the CPUs have to be delivered at right time, right amount and a right mix. For this reason alone AMD is NOT qualified to be a BTO model supplier.

Kenneth , <not long ago when Compaq and other OEMs in Intel only club>
Looking at one of the local Vancouver newspapers yesterday it seemed as if things had switched 180 degrees . In the Vancouver Province there were only 3 ads for major PC stores , there was one Cyrix PC and the rest including a notebook were ALL K6 PCs , there were no Intel inside PCs advertised ,
