Is There An IBM in TAVA's Future???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
>>>TAVA would be an interesting target from two directions - one from the plant floor control vendors, and the other from a larger consulting organization with no significant plant floor practice...<<<
Rick:
The other day IBM chief Gerstner was uncharacteristicly talking about 28% growth from the service side of the business... I'm wondering whether he is eyeing the Y2k companies for this rapid growth... TAVA, with it's dominant Embedded chip sector position, would give IBM those 28%, and more, returns... It would also address the resource question for Y2k Remediation... One could even argue that it would be in the best interests of America for IBM to Acquire TAVA... I liken this to a small company with a vaccine for The Plague... They can only save so many lives... A big company Acquires the smaller company to save many more lives... The big company wins... The small company wins... The investors win... And, the public wins...
Rick--Can you or someone else explain what this means in simple terms--is it y2k related? From the CC--" we are working with National Instruments, we have been developing a high speed data acquisition solution for predicitive maintenance in the utilities." Jan
