Kenneth , I think Americans are smart consumers with exception
of some of our Intel visitors <ebg>
So far it looks like Ben Anaitis' options analysis for closing price of AMD today at between $25 and $27.5 is wrong , probably the Kurlak effect . It is amazing though that what he said today about overproduction of CPUs because of excess processing facilities was discussed on the AMD thread by a number of investors ,myself included,
as long ago as a year ago . The .25 process for CPUs makes the use of a large number of FABs unneccesary since with a small die and .25 large numbers can be produced from one FAB .
However what he is overlooking is that CPUs can incorporate large amounts of cache and other features which will increase size of die and at the same time increase performance and price , thus reducing
overproduction .
