The real issue is not integrating functions into an OS or so called "coercive" and unfair business practices. It's not just about Bill Gates and Microsoft, either. The fundamental question is governments role in the marketplace.

If any new laws were being discussed, then I might agree that the question is, at least partially, governments role in the marketplace. Yet no new laws are being proposed about Microsoft, and most people are happy that we have antitrust laws in general. So aside from the Objectivist/Libertarian/explain-the-entire-universe-with-a-simplistic-philosophy fundies, the question is, indeed, whether or not Bill Gates and Microsoft broke the current laws which mandate against certain business practices.
