My advice is save your more money and do it right. Trying to trade with 5k is tough enough for a trader who is VERY experienced let alone someone who is new to the game.

take some time to educate yourself(read the Final Frontier from start to finish) and build up a sizeable stake to trade with. Absolute minimum 25K.

As far as brokers are concerned there is a list of brokers for Day Traders go to the Final Frontier Links(look under related subjects for the link). There are quite a few good ones listed for your review.

I use NDB (National Discount Brokers) and they handle my trades very timely (2-3 seconds consistently), including an BB stocks I have traded. Minimum balance required is $5K and trades are $14.95 if done on the internet.

There is no such thing as FAST OTC:BB trading. These stocks are not SOES eligible, the firms that are involved are not as liquid as the GSCO, MLCOs, but are more like PGON, MHMY, etc, and most have exposure limits of 200 or 500 shares, which for cheap OTC:BB's is enough. In the end, in my experience, trading these is difficult if fast is your criteria. I dont think it can happen unless there is some wide spread and the mm doesnt mind giving up the size you want.

Forget bidding in between and expecting your order to be reflected, it absolutely does not happen that way. There are no manning rules with bb so you can bid .10 for a stock that is .05 to .15 and you wont see the bid change to your bid.

Andrew G - the three requirements you have , 19.95, fast and minimum deposit of $5K, couldnt smell any more like trouble for you. Its the only 5k and bb combination thats trouble. There is a phrase, good gets better , bad gets worse. Most bb do not work out. Careful playing them if you only have 5k. Be very very very careful.

Regards,
Steve
