Geoff, for what it is worth, I see that post on every thread when the bulls see their stock go down. It's always : "MM manipulation, we'll be up tomorrow."

There is a certain amount of this that goes on, but not to the tune of 30 million shares and down $5. MM mostly trip stops and take the stock down on smaller NASCRAP stocks to shake out the weak players. There are to many MM's in DELL for one to have that kind of power here. We saw natural sellers today (and alot of them) nothing more.

Please, I've said this before. I urge all of you to resist the temptation to buy all the way down. It is going to get ugly.

Geoff,

My comment about Market Makers 'shaking the trees' was about 80% serious. I think it is done fairly frequently, in order to pick up shares from weak hands, or those who have established close stops. I don't know that it can be done with DELL for 5 points... But I do find it extraordinarily curious that the price on expiration day stopped at the first available option strike, thus making a great number of May 90 options expire worthless. Obviously, the INTC downgrade by the ML analyst, Kurlak (sp?) helped them by creating some market uncertainty, though certainly there was no collusion. <g>

Did you happen to see that excellent post by Ken Strickler the other day?

Substitute the numbers 95 and 90 for 100 and 95... and it does look a lot like deja vu! (all over again)

regards, 3.
