Japan thus far has denied any deflation scenario until just now. If they officially decide that is the crux of the problem they are dealing with they will have to admit that they cannot consume their way out of the dilemma and have no choice but to export their way out. That will mean an eventual 160-200 yen to the dollar and give China the excuse it really wishes it had now to devalue again. I'm still not sure I accept a crash conclusion for this bull as I see at least for now the U.S. as the safe haven of choice for these other struggling economies as well as the capital infusions you posted earlier.
