This is from the WSJ Interactive Edition regarding the breakdown in the negotiations. If this is true, it's the most ridiculous thing I've heard to date. Bill Gates should tell Joe Klien to go screw himself. Is Netscape paying off Joe Klien?

"A person familiar with the negotiations said the Justice Department and states wanted the Redmond, Wash., software giant to hide the screen that customers use to access Windows, called its interface; hide ways that consumers could use Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser, included in Windows, to view information on the Web; and include a copy of Navigator, the browser of arch-rival Netscape Communications Corp., with every version of Windows sold."

there's a whole lot of mutual funds with msft holdings. they all won't be dumping in one day. if anything, frightened investors will initially dump, with a comeback, and then a slow degregdation from there. just a thought. degredation as the information continues to roll out against msft. possibly msft's attornies can hold their own
