To all:
I have been away for a bit and a friend sent this post to me:

A few interesting things from the annual meeting:
Forecasted DUV $ (millions) (I believe the total $ are from Dataquest)

Year Total$ Lasers$
97 1000 200
98 1500 250
99 2800 400
00 4500 600
01 5000 800

Laser$ include lasers, spare parts and service
My numbers may be a little off as I was reading a 3D graph from 30ft.
they have 22 patents and 110 patents pending.
100,000 shares purchased in repurchase plan.

Am I to understand Cymer is forecasting 250 total units sold in '98. down from the earlier forecast of 640 units in '98. The ramp up to 1000 units per year was based on forecasts of at least 600 units in '98 and if this chart is correct they are indicating they won't have that demand until year 2K? This is some pretty bad news if it is true. If anyone can clarify, please post your understanding of the number of DUV machines and spares expected to be sold. I wish I had sold at 29, been long on CYMI too long.

Thanks,
Ed
