If you believe the turn around will happen, and you are willing to hold for the longer term, than I agree that the current price of 8 is "cheap". I do think there is a good chance that this company will turn around. However, this year will be the "make of break" period for this company, and the stock can continue to see low prices during this period of time. I will feel more confident when I see the company progressing though a turnaround effort instead of continuing in its "survival mode". The key here to survival is a positive operational cash flow and the procurement of additional short term financing, both of which Informix is currently lacking.

So what will come first, "the chicken or the egg"? The company needs additional financing to mount a turaround effort but they will not receive such financing until that have produced results. I guess this is why Bob F is looking for less costly sales such as what can be found abroad through their foreign sales offices instead of pursuing initial sales efforts here locally in the United States where the competition is more costly.
