Definitely, but if you want to bait a trap for the little vermin, try bread dipped in bacon grease. Works like a charm.

Bexar,

I grew up in a farming community in NJ. We did the cheese thing (the stronger smelling ones work better than something like Velveeta), peanut butter was better yet, and the bacon grease and bread worked well too. Fresh popcorn (buttered) works well. But the best of all was good old potato chips (or it's variant Fritoes). Really, anything with a strong aroma works well at attracting them.
