Hi everyone!

I need some help here. Who better to ask than all my good friends on SI.

QUESTION:
What do mice like better: Cheese or Peanut Butter?

Really, I know this sounds like I'm joking, but my kid is doing a science project and we have always heard that peanut butter works better when trying to catch a mouse in a trap.

If you would, please posts your guess/answer here. (smartalick remarks are welcome but let's keep it clean and about the project).

I will keep you informed for the next week. The project is over in a week.

A little info on the project:

5th grade science project.

Testing Environment:
A wood box 10"W x 22"L x 6"H with a 5" divider at one end to seperate two small dishes. 1 dish has a teaspoon size of cheese, the other a teaspoon size of peanut butter.

Animal:
3 white mice (no they're not blind!). All mice are the same size and shape. For some reason or another 1 has green food dye on it's butt and another has black. <g>

Testing Duration:
One week.

NOTE: No harm will be done to any animals "during this test".
(although, there is talk about feeding them to the neighbor's snake after we are done.)
