Hello Sam, No I have not left the thread. It is just the fact that the virtual world needed me more for a few days than the cyber world did:-) My daughter had a recital (she did fantasitc!!!!) and I had a few other family functions that I had to attend. DLL has not run me off the thread. quite the contrary, I enjoy my conversations with people like Dan, Don, and the Markhoffs(and any others here) As to the conversation that has been going on here for the last few days, I think the thread shold open up and listen to other viewpoints more often. (I am not saying believe them or even change yur own philosophy one iota) It is in your own best interests to listen. I rmember the minister at my Universal Unitarian church talking about Aetheism. He said aetheism is very important, and that we shoud listen to aethisests talk(among others) His reasoning was that if you dont listen and engage in the conversation(politely and respectfully) that your own thoughts never get challenged. Without that challenge and differing viewpoint, you wont grow. Your beliefs become stagnant and stale. You have to listen and consider. As far as Sam's beliefs, they are not some far out esoteric system gleamed from a strange cult. I am no expert, but it sounds to me, like a mix of eastern and even western theology, with a strong dose of introspection. (Sam, if that is not it, I aplogize, but thats what it sounds like to me) My own beliefs are not that different. I also dont believe tht I am a sinner. I am a human, and a such occasionally sin. I also do good works far more that I sin, so I am a "good worker" who is not perfect. It is a mater of perspective. I also believe there is no hell. I do believe in heaven. I think heaven is the time when an individual soul is reunited with the lord for eternity. I think our souls get as any chances as necessary to "evolve" to the point where they can reunify with god. I think god gives up on no one, even Hitler, and loves all unconditionally. I will not have much time for the nest few days, so will only "pop in" when able. Take Care all, Mark Don, I know I owe you a private message. I promise I will get to it.
