This is one article in a series to refute the original NYTimes article, and one article in a series of back and forth discussions to support Folkman's ongoing studies, vs. the time-frame reality and the absolute-ness of the word "cure". It has all been said before and posted several times on this thread, along with positive articles supporting Folkman's studies.

Hopefully, an MD, or oncology researcher will respond to your post.

I would be interested in anyone theorizing why the author of the original NYTimes article turned down the book offer. Any thoughts?

re: unrealistic for the drugs to cure cancer in 2 years) maybe a surprise to someone who jumped in at 50 or 80, otherwise no news here. I think an investor at this point is rolling the dice, might still win big or have things blow up in his face. I'm not sure what price would compel me to jump in but I'm not very comfortable in the 30's. Of course the worst that can happen by missing out is a cure for cancer, not quite the same implications as missing out on a move in Phillip Morris

once again having worked at Mass General and Children's hospital as a researcher i understand the doubt that exist but these findings by folkman are for real. if you are not a MD you will never understand the egomania that will blind most MDs.I just spoke with some former colleagues in boston and they have been givened a compassion release by the NCI for a trial on 20-30 patients to begin within one month. Folks this is for real.
