Hi Sonki. I don't think you have been losing in everything. You have just lost some of your profits like the rest of us. It tells us again that there is no free lunch. We have to work for everything. Sometimes, when the market goes straight up it looks so easy and we think we are going straight to heaven, but then suddenly, out of the blue sky, we are called back to earth again. gg.

PFE etc. will have their day in the sun again. Prescriptions are out of sight and will show up on the bottom line. Merck had their new drug out but got caught by the overall bad market on Friday. It will ascend again. The market also got blindsided by HWP. Everything has its ups and downs at times. I hope Dell will have very good earnings. It is my best performer since last July. Amazing when you think how a lot of the techs have suffered.

Yes, I wished the market would always close at its high and never reopen until the selling is done. gg.

Let's hope we don't have to fasten our seat belts for tomorrow and if, it will be for a ride to the sky. Hm. I guess we will find out in a little while how some of the world markets are doing.

With all this stuff going on right now, maybe our stocks are the least of our worries. Sometimes you wonder if we will be able to enjoy the profits in our stocks.

Sonny

sonki,

I'm relaxing after a late lunch of sag paneer and chicken vindaloo now.

The market slammed the longs from Oct '97 to Jan '98, and then slammed the shorts from Jan until now, and is about the gyrate with a downward bias again. One should take profits quickly, or take a position at a reasonable entry for the long-term.

During the past weeks I have liquidated trading positions into strength, and taken profits on mid-term trades on breakouts. Recent investment positions are covered, and old investment positions are left to float with the market. However, when the market gyrates I am dollar cost averaging into Fido Select Telecommunications and Fido Select Energy Services. Have been in Fido Select Telecommunications for two years now, take a look at it.

Will look more closely at trading the flux in my IRA accounts.

Good morning Sonki.

Great article on WCOM and other tel.comm. stocks including your Telebras:

biz.yahoo.com

I guess you still have WCOM? I don't remember seeing it on your latest list. I may have to look again. gg.
