Walt, when is the last time a CEO or a CFO got screwed? Get real! It's the lower level folks and the stockholders that get screwed! So long as the extent of the screwing is not clear to shareholders it will continue. How much does management have to screw up before they're out? Look at Dow Jones before you answer. Too many managements view companies as their private feed bags. I don't mean to imply that Dell is doing this, but it is important to be cognizant of this nonsense, and so long as there is no requirement to explicitly and unambiguously account for these expenses greedy managements will will continue their practices.
