"Not so fast," the man says. "It has not been determined if the Vapor! drive included with the PC-CE/Projector bundle is an internal or external unit. If it is an external unit (which is most likely the case), it is technically NOT an OEM, but a BUNDLE."

It is, in fact, an external. And technically you are, in fact, correct: It is a bundle.

What I find significant, however, is that the bundle includes products from two manufacturers that have OEMed Zips in some of their products.

This is clearly more significant than Fujitsu bundling an external Syquest drive with one of their laptops (about one year ago: failed miserably); or laptop powerhouse Compaq bundling an external Shark with a large number of their Armada line-up (about nine months ago: failed miserably).

Not to be too damned technical, but I humbly submit that not all "bundle" agreements are equal.

I'd be surprised if the Clik with this unit is an external. Most of the handhelds I've seen have a stacked pair of type 2 PCMCIA slots (this is a type 3 slot, for those who aren't familiar) which, from what we've heard, is the connector Clik internals will use....So why would Iomega use an external?? This thing was designed for use in handhelds and other small devices. Tell you what---I'll bet you dinner with your sweetie that this thing comes standard with an internal Clik. Of course, if you lose, I'll expect the same...:)
