Larry: It could be that the form 144 was not filed on EDGAR. In which case it would only be available in person or in writing. According to the SEC note on EDGAR:

"Other documents may be filed on EDGAR voluntarily, and consequently may or may not be available on EDGAR. For example, Forms 3, 4, and 5 (security ownership and transaction reports filed by corporate insiders), Form 144 (notice of proposed sale of securities) and Form 13F (reports filed by institutional investment managers showing equity holdings by accounts under their management) may be filed on EDGAR at the option of the filer."
