Christine, I have not read that but am not surprised that the unbelieving world would want to discount anything Hawking said that would prove creation. And I don't see how Hawking could repudiate what he said, no more than he can change the laws of the universe. What he said is true. Evolution is not possible in this universe, this universe had to be created.The facts are that everything in this universe tends to go from order to disorder, not the other way around. Nothing on it's own can build or put itself together. A broken glass can never become unbroken, but for this universe to have happened on it's own that would have to be possible and it is not. Everything is complex and well ordered and we see nothing achieving order on it's own. It has to be put in order by an outside force, man, God. This universe had to be put in order by an intelligent force greater than the universe itself, which could be God. That's what Hawking said. What other all powerful intelligent being is there to give the credit? What other being has communicated with man and told us "I did it". The word of God says Jesus was there in the beginning with God and nothing was created without Him. Satan, who is at the root of your belief system whether you know it or not, is only a creation of God. He is not God, he just wants to pass himself off as God. Some believe it, but it's not true. I hope you are able to see the truth in that. Bob
