It would be cheaper to send everyone on welfare to the Mayo Clinic that to start a
government charity hospital system.


My point is that I don't want a great government system that everyone will desire. I prefer a multitiered and competitive private system, without the government perks and benefits now given the HMOs and Insurance companies who bought and paid for the current system.

Sending everyone on Welfare to Private care would just encourage more of the same. But I do think that there should be a basic system available for those who, for whatever reason, fall through the cracks.
