Statements like this always puzzle me immensely. They leave out totally any understanding that not all men are equally entreprenurial in spirit, or even in opportunity, general intelligence, or DESIRE to make a lot of money. Who would sweep the streets, take care of babies, teach children, cut hair, create beautiful art, tend to our spiritual needs, or perform any of the myriad tasks that are necessary in a society, if we equate success only with making a lot of money?

In fact, I when I think of groups of people, the phrase 'robber barons' comes to mind when I think of the very rich. Many fortunes are made unethically, in fact criminally. This is not to say that all of the rich are bad people, but certainly we do not need a society full of them!!!
