I for one like having the additional features! I do, however, use netscape as my browser. As I see it, most people just want to go home and plug in their new machine and be able to use all the bells and whistles without buying more software.

Brian, you are missing the point. The browser function is clearly a utilitarian function, and properly belongs to the OS. Netscape tried to steal this feature, and Microsoft has simply made things right. Netscape was wanna-be Microsoft killer, but they bit off a little more than they could chew. That's okay, we all make mistakes.
