I don't see how you can label Larry Holmes "an a.....e too" for simply quoting the "per Spec tives" newsletter's cautions about promotional machines, psychological wizard promoters/brokers and investor manipulation.(I do realize you a.....e comment was tongue in cheek and you clearly support his caution.) This newsletter, to which I subscribe, has a pretty good record of successful recommendations.
Unfortunately, Larry didn't give "per Spec tives" analysis summary of Notran which appears in the same issue from which he quoted. I post it for your consideration.

Nortran Pharmaceuticals (NRT)
nortran.com
We felt this stock was headed lower near term, and it has this week. That will have a foul taste in the mouths of shareholders, but the intensity of the run higher caused profit taking, despite having some excellent news. We don't think that this stock is headed too much lower, and we should see a bounce soon. 60%

Mr Forthright, this newsletter, to which you directed us, that stands on guard against promotional machines, psychological wizardry by brokers/promoters and investor manipulation, after appropriate due diligence, sees Nortran as an excellent news company with upside potential.
Regards, Ed

Mr. Forthright, a secret Nortran supporter???
No heart attacks folks, the evidence is overwhelming. Judge for yourselves.
Sorry, Mr. Forthright, but the truth must come out.
1. Post754(Mr.F to Soros) "Here's a good post for you. siliconinvestor.com;
Mr Forthright, the post to which you refer on the "$5 and Under: Scambusters" thread is a good post for all investors.
2. The "Scambusters" post outlines well many of the traps that await those who invest in stocks. Larry Holmes, the poster, to elaborate on the dangers of investing in stocks, simply copies a portion of the most recent edition of the "per Spec tives", a newsletter devoted to avoiding the traps it describes.
So far, Mr. Forthright, you are being very constructive.
3. "per Spec tives", after identifying the hazards of promotion machines, optimism creators, psychological wizards and investor manipulators, continues by doing some individual stock analysis. One of the stocks on which "per Spec tives does analysis is NORTRAN.
Mr. Forthright, you were very subtle in leading us to this evaluation of Nortran.
4. NORTRAN gets a very positive comment from "per Spec tives". The analysis earlier had called for last week's drop in Nortran's stock price and now suggests that the stock is not expected to head much lower and should soon see a bounce. This bounce is expected because of Nortran's "...having some excellent news..." (See post755 for exact wording.)
Mr Forthright, how sly of you to reveal your true feelings about Nortran by directing us to 'Scanbusters' and per Spec tives". I'll bet you kept your support for Nortran a secret from everyone, including Ms Forthright.
5. In post 751(Mr.F to F.Jay) you outline concerns about underestimating the time and risk of the regulatory process and of over-promotion of an early stage company.
Mr. Forthright, how clever to lead us to an independent newsletter that examines these issues and comes out with a positive view of Nortran. You generously helped us answer the concerns you raised.
So, Mr. Forthright, we now know you true belief about Nortran, but did you have to make it such a puzzle to solve? You could simply have told us of your conversion.
Best regards, Ed
P.S. I reluctantly copied the Nortran summary in post 755. Hopefully, copyright is not a problem in such cases.
