Write on the blackboard "NEVER SELL DELL" 100 times than stand in the corner for one hour. If it makes you feel any better, I sold 2/3 of my DELL a few weeks ago because "The size of my position scared the dickens out of me." WOE IS ME! I bought some back today at over 30 point more than I sold at. I learned my lesson...NEVER SELL DELL!

Phil

The agony of DELLfeat!

Oh no!
You need to put up a sign like I did.
Never Sell Dell
(unless they were honestly short term trades to begin with)
Put it up now.
Dont sell again, instead read it read it read it.
Then go to 27960, print it out, (Dell of course) and put it up next to your dont sell Dell sign.
Freeus
Good luck.
Go you need the 12 step program?

finfan...I see there are already 5 responses to your post, so I might as well throw in my 2 cents worth:....I have sold, in the past, on several occasions, only to have regreted it...I even went short once, thinking we had surely seen the top...OUCH, that hurt....The best thing I can say to anyone is don't panic...As long as the company is growing don't pay attention to the stock price...A 10 point swing, in either direction is NORMAL for DELL...DELL is a stock you look at in one year increments, and ignore the daily motions.

At this point you could get in at any time or wait until after the earnings report, the rocketship blast that follows, then the usual pullback that follows that....I'm looking for the next consolodation phase to be in the 100-110 range for 6-12 weeks before it moves to the 125 range next Quarter...(Of course, if you were a bear, certain ones who I won't name, they would tell you to short DELL because it will be 70 by Friday and 50-60 by next Quarter, then 30-40 the Quarter after)...

Regards, George

Ok fin, I'll jump in too.

Friday's drop was all about options expiration. The whole
drop to 89 13/16 by 90 was to expire all options worthless.

I hope that the FOMC, a market rally, and a strong bond
market rally can provide a backdrop for a huge DELL
rally tomorrow and Wednesday.

f,

One more 'opinion'.

1) Do NOT 'beat' yourself too much!

2) We all make decisions based on how 'we' see the market trend.

3) Sometimes we are 'correct'.

4) Sometimes we are 'incorrect'.

5) None sits down and says 'This is a bad choice, so I will do it!'

If it helps, it scared me too, but I made that same mistake at another time. It hurts! I lost $25K in that lesson, you are only out $17,550 so far. Consider yourself lucky, and a lesson well learned.

Regards,

Ken
