Ran across the following bit of info this morning:

The XAU/Spot Ratio fell below its 200 day moving average on October 16, 1987. A 500 point Dow drop followed.

The prospect of high tech criminals exploiting the Y2K bug is one I hadn't considered. Scary! Sounds like an excellent plot for a novel or movie -- let's hope that's all it becomes.
