ADPT is now a broken stock joining the ranks of many other broken stocks I have watched come down over the past several years in the tech group. They just about never come back anywhere close to their original levels. What they do though is stabalize and become great trading stocks in a narrow range around the eventual bottom with very little risk on the downside. There is always buyers who look at where it was and think they will get in on a return that never materializes. Going long is usually a yawn in these, but they are premier trading stocks. If something new ignites ADPT like Firewire or some report that SCSI is hot again; it could well come back to the low 30's; that is about as high to the upside as I would expect anytime in the next couple years; yes years! I doubt that we will see much more downside on this one for the moment with some stabilization coming around 17 and then maybe one more slide down after a week or so. These things come down like this often with this kind of pattern of sharp drop, sideways and then plunge again. It is terrifically misleading. People talk foolishly of double bottoms and things like that and then watch the thing slide 10 points lower from the double bottom.

I agree that institutions are mostly out of this and small investors are now playing the majority of the buying interest in this stock. If it weren't for the small players, we would have spiked down to single digits temporarily since I don't think there is any institutional buying occurring. I am only guess on this since I am not tracking the lot sizes.
