I saw that too. My thoughts are
-CYMI is a supplier to equipment suppliers
-AMAT is an equipment supplier ( not a subsystem supplier)
-AMAT began to enter the litho side of front end thru ORBOT
-AMAT litho acquisition rumors persist
-It would be brilliant tactic to a strategy of acquiring a stepper company
-I don't see how the industry would allow AMAT to buy both CYMI and a stepper company, but I don't know how it would be prevented since the stepper players are Int'l (if it was all US then antitrust would be an issue).
