Good strategy for MOT.

If you can't make the product, go back door and buy it from someone else who can.

05-21-98 Pantech, Motorola Forge Strategic Alliance;

Under the alliance agreement, Pantech will supply $300 million worth of CDMA-type cellular and PCS handsets a year to Motorola, which will sell them in the global market, especially in China, under its own brand name. The contract volume is ''surprisingly large'' for the small Korean company whose annual turnover last year was only 76.2 billion won. According to Pantech officials, Motorola wanted to completely take over the company by paying high premiums.
