What nobody on this thread addresses is that SFA/CIS SAVES money. It helps the corporate bottom line, that IS enabling technology. The most efficient way to improve your bottom line is by managing and retaining your customers.

This market will be 2 to 3* the size of the ERP space. Siebel is the clear leader. If you guys were not so heavily vested in Vantive you would be able see that. There is plenty of room in this market for many companies to succeed , but only one player will be the dominant player. That player will most definitely be Siebel Systems. They have a better marketing arm, much better upper management, much better sales force and in no time a fully superior integrated product.

Speaking of ONYX, does anyone know when they'll IPO? Last year I was hearing 1H '98 but it looks like that will come and go.
