Too bad they didn't talk about the ones that fail. Depending on the audience, these same gurus say that anywhere between 75% and 90% of all SFA implementations do not meet objectives.

When I read the release the thought that went through my mind was: in the best case scenario (successful implementations + high end of return range) SFA gives you 35% sales increase and 26% cycle reduction and 20% customer satisfaction improvement but on 2% margin impact. And we;re only looking at the cream of the crop. What's wrong with this picture?

SFA so beneficial?

I am in a process of looking for implementing SFA if it will give benefit to my company. I have looked on the side line for SFA for a couple of years. What I like is that one can be so sure!!

There was an article in Computerworld around 2 months ago. It stated around 60-70% of SFA implementations was a failure or not beneficial.
But all the beneficial implementations must have been SEBL.

I think there is a rather large risk of failure and the game is how to make the salespeople use the system. That is the critical point.
