Sorry to butt in here, but maybe I missed something... Please enlighten me -- are you saying that MSFT forces OEM's to preload MS-Office?? Or do they just make it attractive and profitable for them to do so?? Inquiring minds want to know <g>

I don't need to read Quantex's contract to know that they offer Corel WP Suite 8 on two different whole lines of computers. Quantex also offers Win95/98 as standard, and some lines come standard with MS Office SBE.

Does Quantex have a more highly skilled negotiator than Gateway, HP, Dell, Compaq, Packard Bell etc? Are purchasing managers from Gateway, HP, Dell, CPQ etc just easy push-overs, suckers if you will? What do you think?
